Site survey
1.
2.
3.
4.
Above plan drawings are according to datas and measurements from the site.
1.Green lines represented people moving area around the site.
2.3. Main routes of peoples movement. Blue lines represented people's movement under bridges and lower ground. Red lines
represented people's movement on bridges and upper ground.
4.Directions or destinations of people movements.
5.
According to surveys of site people movements, the site is a important part as a turning point of the surrounding . There is no direction sign on the site. So people have clear idea of their destinations before pass through the site. And know what will appear after they pass the site.
The site is important and useful but humdrum. So I want to transforms the site space use projective light. Use Quadratura technique to create the illusion of an infinite pathway or the illusion of new direction pathway to confound people's visual perception. The changes of the site will give people a new experience of space transformation through perception.
In order to achieve my idea, I'll use 3D model software to draw a site model, the new illusion space and project light onto the 3d site model.

Quadratura techniques
Quadratura was the technique used in the baroque to extended architecture through trompe I'veil and perspective constructions generated with paint or sculpture.
It is a new site-specific light installation by Spanish artist Pablo Valbuena, He projected a perspective grid between two rows of colony and onto the wall behind him thus creating the illusion of an infinite pathway.

The main axis of the room is extended, so the limits of the physical space is dissolved.

Commissioned for Milan 2010, Jason Bruges Studio’s latest creation is a captivating artwork featuring Lumiblade OLEDs.
Mimosa is an interactive artwork displaying behavior that mimics responsive plant systems. The piece was inspired by the Mimosa family of plants, which change kinetically to suit their environmental conditions.
The studio has used the slim form of individual OLEDs to create delicate light petals, forming flowers, which open and close in response to visitors.
